Terms of use

By using HomeHazardMap.com (the “Site”), operated by Digital Dynamics Kft., Hungary (the “Operator”), you accept these terms.

1. Public records, not a test of your home

The Site republishes records that water utilities and states reported to the U.S. EPA, and EPA’s county radon map. They describe a water system’s compliance history and an area’s predicted radon potential — not the water at your tap or the air in your home, which can differ. Nothing on the Site states that any water is safe or unsafe to drink. For decisions about your health or home, rely on your utility’s Consumer Confidence Report, certified laboratory tests and qualified professionals.

2. Not medical, legal or real-estate advice

The Site is general information. It is not medical, legal, engineering, inspection or real-estate advice and does not replace a home inspection, a radon test or a water test.

3. Accuracy and timeliness

Data is provided “as is”. EPA records can be incomplete, delayed by several quarters, or corrected later; ZIP-to-utility matching uses service-area boundaries that are partly modeled. If a record about a system is wrong, the original reporting state or utility can correct it in EPA’s systems; tell us at info@digitaldynamics.hu and we will update the Site after the next data refresh.

4. No affiliation

The Site is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by the EPA, the Census Bureau, any state, or any water utility named on it. Names identify the public records only.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for any damage arising from use of, reliance on, or inability to use the Site. The Site is free; where liability cannot be excluded it is limited to the amount you paid (zero). Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as for intentional or grossly negligent conduct or harm to life, body or health.

6. Sources and licences

U.S. EPA SDWIS/ECHO, UCMR 5, Map of Radon Zones, Superfund National Priorities List and community water system service areas; FEMA National Risk Index; National Weather Service alerts (loaded live by your browser); U.S. Census Bureau ZCTA files (all public domain). Ratings and records describe areas and sites, not any individual property. Base map © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL).

7. Intellectual property and automated access

The Site’s design, code, texts and compilations are protected by copyright and, where applicable, the EU database right. /download/zip-hazards.csv may be reused under CC BY 4.0 with credit. Search engines and AI assistants may crawl and quote the Site under our robots.txt; otherwise no systematic extraction or mirroring without permission, and we may rate-limit automated access.

8. Contact, requests, law

Operator: Digital Dynamics Kft., 2724 Újlengyel, Nyári Pál utca 15., Hungary · tax number 32509072-1-13 · single point of contact incl. under the EU Digital Services Act: info@digitaldynamics.hu. Requests in writing by e-mail; GDPR requests answered within one month (Art. 12(3)); notices of illegal content handled under Art. 16 DSA. These terms are governed by Hungarian law; the courts of the Operator’s seat have jurisdiction, without depriving consumers of the mandatory protection of their country of residence. What this is — and isn’t. These are records your water utility and state reported to the EPA, and the EPA’s radon map for your county. They describe the system and the area, not the water from your own tap or the air in your home. For that, read your utility’s annual Consumer Confidence Report and test: lead and radon tests are inexpensive.
